What do you think your area should concentrate it's spending on?

creating jobs for local people
In the interest of all beings to be getting equal rights in the community.Dial-up connections & cheap PC's, i can not understand anyone being slower then my connection, not my PC.I never threw my money away on a PC deal, that i had to pay for. This dial-up service makes me want to stop using the services of the web.Others must swear about there services...( I bet )
Creating new business, to profit the local area, and provide full time jobs for local residents
New Council,Repair Roads,New Administer for the town. Return of the Town Police Services
Road Repair
Starting more small businesses to provide work for more people here in NB.
tourism and bringing in industry businesses ..... we are in the centre of a major highway system and could easily market our area ... as for tourism we need to promote the opening of new tourist attractions ... giftshops, restaurants and such ... then once we have the tourist attractions, we promote tourists stopping ... don't have them stop with nothing to stop for. This is a great place to promote for retirement.
keeping business in town
A civic center with a pool and gym - health facilities and
prevention to health facilities
Making places truly wheelchair accessible, some say they are but it is impossible for a person in a wheelchair to get over the threshold
without help!
Provide WiFi (wireless broadband internet) free to the community like Fredericton does.  No different than other infrastructures.
Manufacturing; value added products from local resources, making permanent local jobs not just seasonal tourist jobs.
Tourism
Tourism
Road work. Instead of paving them, and then ripping it apart in another two months, spend the money and do it right the first time!!!
work together for the good of our children and youth - build a community center that includes everyone!!! with a pool!!!
education; literacy; environmental sustainable businesses; culture
Swimming Pool, fitness and recreation facility
New indoor swimming pool at SRHS

What local activity do you recommend? why?

strip mall at Youngs Cove, which would create a diversion for folk travelling Route #2 and create jobs for locals.
Talking to others, cause it is refreshing to live in this day of ages.
Finding employment for the young generation
sports events....because nothing too spectacular happens sports
wise in this town
I recommend ATVing. There are lots of machines out there and it
seems to be a growing activity that most anyone would enjoy.
we have several festivals and church dinners and nice scenic areas ... we just need to enhance them with more ... the balloon fiesta is one of the best as attractions ... and our local scenery should be emphasized
kcfrc
I recommend walking because there are good walking rails in the
village of Sussex Corner and town of sussex.
FleaMarket, Balloon Fiesta, Covered Bridge Festival, Camping, Long Drives in the Country, Swimming, Fishing, hiking, 4wheeling
Balloon Festival, beautiful
I recommend frequent low-cost events which can include all the
people. (At least some of the time!) Such as a kite festival, frisbee
festival, etc.
community talent shows. It gives everyone an opportunity to participate and demonstrates what great hidden talent we have in our area.

Walking... I love walking around our beautiful town and
with the walking trail too...its a great place we live.

Oromocto, Fredericton, Sussex
To buy a PC,that be in Toronto, not locally as most go to Futureshop.ca,they get the high deals,i get the cheap warranty on parts.
Moncton for anything other than food. Variety and pricings are a large issue and if I have to shop I normally lunch in town, I would rather lunch where there is more variety.
Everywhere in town! Rarely in Quispamsis and SJ
the gateway mall and sussex mall

What do you think the most important thing your community should do?

Have a secure place for activities where youth may congregate and participate in, as well as the seniors.
To stand as a community & remember that back in the turn of the century that a horse-thief was hung.So don't forget the basic rules of humans & the laws of the land.
Expand on New Business...
Get a sports complex, more school campus', road repair, heritage preservation, renewable energy promotion like Okotoks,Alberta, train station needs a quality food service atmosphere- good ice cream but looks grungy. Getting Thomas the Tank engine to come once a year like they do in other towns in Canada and the U.S-
Clean up the place!
PROMOTE itself ... but not just for the sake of promotion.
We need to encourage more attractions and specialty shopping areas for people to see. This does not mean to promote two shopping malls ... everytown has that ... we need specialty gift stores and unique sites that would draw people to the town and area
Find more things for the young adults of the town to do for recreation
Create full time year round jobs
Get along and get people moving!
Encourage people to get involved and enjoy living. Everyone has some talents that they can share with others.
Older folk have so many years of experience and learning (education that comes not from schooling necessarily, but life experiences and skills). Crafts such as knitting, tatting, woodworking, etc. need to be taught to our younger generation.
Be friendly, helpful, and supportive of ALL its residents... youth especially!
Get something for the young kids to do, ie/ a dance club,
or something to that effect. I think that the kids need and deserve to have somewhere they can go to unwind, and have fun. After all, we want them to stay in this area when they are adults, don't we?
Work together for mutual promotion of the area!!!!
Attract more business....I live and play in Sussex, but have to drive to Saint John to work, and even taking into account the
cost of driving (I estimate $10,000/year) I make loads more money than I have ever been offered in Sussex.
keep small town atmosphere..bigger isn't always better
Work together!  Can't continue to be the Town and the LSD's going separate ways. Town must understand that they have to work with the population in the LSD's not fight with them or not involve them in a meaningful way!
