Our collection
includes hundreds of artifacts from our province's rural way
of life. From agricultural equipment, house wares, and
military memorabilia, (some dating back to when the province
was settled more than 200 years ago), to an impressive railway
display
Between 1803 and 1900 over 500 vessels were built and launched
in over a dozen shipyards along the beaches, coves and rivers
in and around St. Martins. Lumbering was also an important
industry locally and a great deal of it was required to
construct vessels of the size turned out by local shipyards.
One hundred years ago, covered
bridges were major links in New Brunswick's road system.
Sixteen covered bridges in Kings County slow your pace as they
take you through the local countryside.
